The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) was founded in 1975 by 13 women business owners in the Washington, DC area who gathered to share information and strengthen their entrepreneurial interests. NAWBO’s network reaches to approximately 80 chapters in the U.S. and through its international affiliation 60 countries on 5 continents.
NAWBO has had a presence in New Jersey since 1989. Through the years, we have played a significant role in the status, growth and success of women entrepreneurs. Unlike some organizations, NAWBO’s membership is made up of owners rather than companies. Its programming is targeted toward the unique issues of business ownership, understanding that if you prosper then your business is likely to be successful. NAWBO creates leaders, and strong leaders create strong companies.
Our Mission is to:
Enable women business owners to reach their full potential
Strengthen the wealth creating ability of our members
Build strategic alliances
To access to resources for greater visibility and profitability
Influence public policy
